How long have you been performing in shows
First show was Mack & Mabel with Greasepaint in October 2009. I'd done a couple of songs at a charity concert in the Village church and was subsequently encouraged to audition for Greasepaint.

What got you interested in music / theatre
Not sure really, but being from Merseyside I remember being swept up in the whole furore around the Beatles. Never lost interest in music and have music on at home a lot of the time. I would rather listen to music than watch telly.

What was your first show
See above Mack & Mabel

What has been your favourite show and/or character and why
I've loved all the shows I've done with Greasepaint but 'Parade' was wonderful. Very powerful & moving, all the more so as a true story. The tears I shed as the Minister in the Mary Phagan funeral scene were real. I found some of the words, on the internet, actually spoken by the Minister and used them in the scene very, very emotional.

What has been your most embarassing or funniest moment in a show
I guess it would have to be the 'hat incident'in Mack & Mabel. Let's just say Shane wasn't happy.

Describe the best and worst costumes you have had to wear
The best would have to be the pirate outfit in Peter Pan. The worst has yet to come but I expect the 'Who' outfit in Seussical will be, shall we say a little loud.

What has been your proudest moment
I was very, very nervous in Mack & Mabel, but the buzz I got from the audience when we were taking our bows was tremendous. I was also very proud to have taken part in Parade, an exceptional show

If you could choose any show to perform in, what would it be and why
If they ever produce a musical version of Dads Army, I'll be an absolute shoe in for the part of Corporal Jones. Why? because for once it would be perfectly fine for me to be a step behind everyone else in the dance moves.

Do you have any plans to pursue theatre as a career
Not unless Dads Army - The Musical becomes a reality.
